Alecensa 150mg Capsule should be taken in a dose as recommended by the doctor. You should continue to take it as long as your doctor advises for it. The duration of treatment varies according to your need and response to treatment. Your doctor may advice for regular monitoring of liver and kidney function while you are taking this medicine.
Women who are undergoing treatment should use effective contraception method and avoid pregnancy. This medicine may make your skin more sensitive to sun, so it is better to use sunscreen and protective clothing when outdoors. Indications of ALECENSA 150 Capsule
Alecensa 150 mg indicated for the treatment of patients with anaplastic lymphoma kinase (ALK)-positive, locally advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC)
Therapeutic Effects of ALECENSA 150mg Capsule
Alecensa 150 Capsule contains Alectinib, which is used in the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). It works by stopping the action of an ALK-tyrosine kinase enzyme that causes the multiplication of cancerous cells. This helps stop the abnormal growth of cancer cells and thus reduce the further spread to other parts of the body. It also decreases the blood supply to cancer tumors to slow down the growth of the tumor. In this way, Alecensa 150 Capsule stops the body’s production, spread and growth of cancerous cells.
Directions for Use
Alecensa 150 Capsule should be taken with food preferably at the same time each day. The capsules should be swallowed whole with water and should not be crushed, chewed, or opened. The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the individual’s condition and response to the medication and should be determined by the doctor.
Your doctor will decide the dose and frequency of administration based on your health condition.
Storage
Alecensa 150mg Capsule should be stored below 30°C temperature at room temperature. Do no freeze.
If you are traveling, carefully follow all patient instructions for storing your medicine during travel. Avoid extreme heat or cold.

Contraindications
Alecensa 150 mg is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Alecensa 150 mg or any of the excipients.
Drug Interactions
Drug-Drug Interactions: Alecensa 150 Capsule may have interaction with disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (leflunomide), immunomodulatory drugs (teriflunomide), anti-cancer drugs (pexidartinib), etc.
Drug-Food Interactions: Avoid alcohol consumption and smoking.
Dug-Disease Interactions: Tell your doctor if you have liver or kidney disease, lung disease problems, breathing problems, or heart problems.

Alecensa 150 Capsule is not recommended for use in pregnancy as it may cause embryo-fetal toxicity and harm your foetus. Hence, if you are pregnant or planning pregnancy, inform your doctor before taking Alecensa 150 Capsule. You should not become pregnant while you are taking Alecensa 150 Capsule for at least one week after your last dose of treatment. Using effective birth control methods while on treatment is suggested.
Unsafe
It is not known whether Alecensa 150 Capsule passes into breast milk. You should not breastfeed during and for 1 week after the treatment with Alecensa 150 Capsule.
Unsafe
Alecensa 150 Capsule 224’s may cause dizziness, lightheadedness, or fainting in some patients. Therefore, avoid driving or operating machines that require mental concentration until you are not alert.

If you have a pre-existing or a history of liver problems, tell your doctor before taking this medicine. Alecensa 150 Capsule 224’s is known to cause hepatotoxicity, which may be fatal. If you have any symptoms such as yellowing of your skin or the white part of your eyes (jaundice), dark or brown (tea-coloured) urine, pain on the upper right side of your stomach area (abdomen), bleeding or bruising more easily than normal, feeling very tired while taking Alecensa 150 Capsule 224’s, inform your doctor immediately.

Alecensa 150 Capsule 224’s is known to cause kidney impairment. Hence, if you have a pre-existing or a history of kidney diseases, inform your doctor before taking Alecensa 150 Capsule 224’s. Your doctor may adjust the dose of this medicine or prescribe a suitable alternative based on your condition.

Alecensa 150mg Capsule has been shown to be effective in treating brain metastases in patients with ALK-positive NSCLC. It can cross the blood-brain barrier and reach the brain tissue, which may help to control the growth of cancer cells in the brain.
Alecensa 150mg Capsule does not appear to be significantly metabolized by the kidneys, so it may be used in patients with mild to moderate kidney problems without dosage adjustment. However, patients with severe kidney problems may need dosage adjustments or additional monitoring.
