It is used for routine prophylaxis to prevent or reduce the frequency of bleeding episodes in adults and children, ages newborn and older, with hemophilia A with or without factor VIII inhibitors. Heamophilia A is a genetic bleeding condition caused by a lack of factor VIII, which is essential factor for blood clotting. This medicine helps the blood to clot normally.
