Therapeutic Effects of PLAMUMAB Injection
It is an immunosuppressive medicine, works by blocking a protein called tumor necrosis factor (TNF) that can cause inflammation, pain, or other autoimmune symptoms. It helps reduce the swelling, pain and redness associated with autoimmune conditions and improves physical function.
Directions for Use
Plamumab is administered as an injection under the skin using an autoinjector or a prefilled syringe, preferably at the same time each day.
The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the individual’s condition and response to the medication and should be determined by the doctor. Your doctor will decide the dose and frequency of administration based on your health condition.
A trained healthcare doctor/Nurse will administer Plamumab. Carefully follow the instructions advised by your doctor in case of self-administration.
Storage
Plamumab Injection should be stored below 30°C temperature at room temperature. Do not freeze.
Keep in the original container to protect from light and moisture.
Keep Plamumab Injection out of sight and reach of children.
If you are traveling, carefully follow all patient instructions for storing your medicine during travel.
Avoid extreme heat or cold.
Common:
- Headache
- Injection site reactions (pain, redness, swelling)
- Nausea and Vomiting
- Fever
- Allergic reactions include rash and itching, hives
- Cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sinus pain, sneezing, sore throat
- Upper respiratory infections
Serious:
- Heart problems (Irregular heartbeats, Heart failure such as rapid breathing, pedal edema, tachypnea)
- Severe skin reactions
- GI bleeding
- Severe respiratory problems
- Abnormal blood count values
- Bone problems
- Muscle weakness
- Difficulty in movements like speaking, chewing, swallowing
- Infections
- Nerve disorders, scarring of the lung
- Liver injury

Contraindications
Plamumab Injection is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Adalimumab or any of the excipients.
Drug Interactions
Plamumab might interact with other medicines used in the management of joint pain such as azathioprine, anakinra and abatacept, etanercept, cancer medicine such as 6-Mercaptopurine, rituximab, autoimmune disorder medicines such as infliximab. Therefore, it is recommended to inform your doctor about all the medications and supplements you take.
