Product Description

SCAPHO INJECTION contains Secukinumab which belongs to the group of medicines called monoclonal antibodies. It is used to treat moderate to severe plaque psoriasis, active psoriatic arthritis (PsA), active ankylosing spondylitis (AS), active non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA).

It is an immunosuppressive medicine, works by inhibiting the release of inflammatory cytokines and chemokines that contribute to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. 
Inform the doctor If you have or have ever had Tuberculosis or any active infection, lung or breathing problems, heart problems, kidney problems, liver problems, skin problems, ulcers in your stomach or intestines, nervous system disorders, diabetes, HIV, cancer, if you have received or are scheduled to receive any vaccines.

 
Inform the doctor about all your medical conditions, prescription and non-prescription drugs, vitamin supplements, herbal medications, since SCAPHO can interact with them. SCAPHO can cause an allergic reaction in some patients therefore it is necessary to read the complete composition list and consult the doctor in case of any ingredient that induces allergies.

 
Consult the doctor if you are planning, on a pregnancy or breastfeeding. It is advisable to avoid driving and operating heavy machinery during the course of SCAPHO.

Indications of SCAPHO Injection

SCAPHO is primarily indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe plaque psoriasis in patients six years and older who are candidates for systemic therapy or phototherapy, active psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in patients two years and older; adults with active ankylosing spondylitis (AS), adults with active non-radiographic axial spondyloarthritis (nr-axSpA).

TherapeuticEffects of SCAPHO Injection

It is an immunosuppressive medicine, works by blocking the action of inflammatory protein interleukin-17 (IL-17) receptor in the body that are responsible for causing inflammation and manage symptoms of psoriasis, hidradenitis suppurativa, psoriatic arthritis and axial spondyloarthritis.

Directions for Use

SCAPHO can be administered either as an injection under the skin, preferably at same time every day. The dosage and duration of treatment will depend on the individual’s condition and response to the medication and should be determined by the doctor.

Your doctor will decide the dose and frequency of administration based on your health condition.
A trained healthcare doctor/Nurse will administer SCAPHO. So, do not self-administer.

Storage

SCAPHO Injection should be stored in refrigerator at 2°C to 8°C. Do not freeze. Do not shake. 
If you are traveling, carefully follow all patient instructions for storing your medicine during travel. Avoid extreme heat or cold. 
Keep in the original container to protect from light and moisture. 
Keep SCAPHO Injection out of sight and reach of children.

SCAPHO Injection is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to SCAPHO or any of the excipients.
